Our pelvic floor holds and supports our whole life story. This is where our pleasure and sensuality begin, our posture, our elimination, our digestion, and so much more. It holds the stress of everyday life, as well as physical and emotional trauma. Add to that everything that comes with pregnancy and postpartum: the hormonal roller coaster, posture changes, weight fluctuations, and the physical trauma of delivery.
Join us to learn how pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period affect our pelvic floor, and how it doesn't exist in a vacuum, but is supported by a whole ''village" of different muscles in the body. You will come away understanding how your yoga practice can be tuned to your unique pelvic floor needs, knowing specific yoga poses that will help your pelvic floor be supple and strong, how to use breath to keep it healthy and vibrant, how to incorporate the whole "village" as a support system, and how a happy pelvic floor helps alleviate back, hip, and groin pain.
