ABOUT VERA

Vera is an experienced prenatal/postpartum yoga teacher, pelvic floor yoga therapist in training, and a full spectrum doula who focuses primarily on postpartum support and recovery. In her work she places a special emphasis on community building and maternal mental health. Vera empowers other teachers by leading prenatal teacher trainings. She also offers multiple workshops on pelvic floor health, partner yoga, and preparation for postpartum, with tools and resources to thrive during this new season of life.

She believes that yoga is a beautiful way for women to connect with their deepest nature—to find the freedom to dance and move through the unique, ever-changing experience of being a woman and a mother.

In her classes, Vera addresses both physical and mental health challenges during pregnancy, labor, and recovery. She encourages women to explore and trust their bodies while balancing strength-building with relaxation.

Vera graduated from the DTI Full Spectrum Doula program. She completed Silverlake Yoga’s Prenatal Teacher Training in 2015 while pregnant with her first child, which gave her a firsthand experience of the physical, mental, and emotional benefits yoga brings to expecting mothers. She is currently completing her comprehensive certification with Leslie Howard as a pelvic floor yoga therapist.

Vera has a professional background in linguistics, journalism, and harm reduction, all of which contribute to her inclusive, unpretentious, and welcoming approach.

She is a graduate of Strala Yoga’s 200-Hour Ready-to-Lead training and Strala’s Intensive for Teachers program in New York City, where she taught before moving to Los Angeles.
